Keyana’s earliest sports memory was playing kickball with her family in the backyard. Little did she know that this was the beginning of a journey that would teach her valuable lessons about perseverance and determination.
At the age of seven or eight, Keyana started playing in a league and became involved in competitive cheerleading in second or third grade. Despite being the youngest on the team, Keyana pushed herself to excel and moved up to Division Three after a few months of practicing a difficult cheer routine.
However, Keyana’s journey wasn’t without its challenges. She remembers feeling frustrated when she was stuck in Division Two for a long time, while others around her were moving up. But with the support of her instructor, parents, and teammates, Keyana persevered and eventually made it to Division Three.
Keyana’s experience in competitive cheerleading taught her the importance of pushing through difficult situations and believing in herself, even when she was surrounded by older and more experienced individuals. These lessons have stayed with her as she has pursued a career as an entrepreneur.
As a young entrepreneur, Keyana has faced similar challenges to those she encountered in cheerleading.
